The Sportfishing Association of California, commonly known as SAC, is a non-profit industry organization consisting of sportfishing landing owners, skippers, crews, sportfishing and live bait hauling boat owners, and sportdive boat owners whose principal home ports range from Morro Bay to San Diego. SAC's membership includes over 175 open-party and charter boats ranging in length from 45 to 120 feet and running from 23 different landings, as well as carrying between 700,000 and 1 million passengers a year to local coastal banks and islands, and into Mexican waters. The monetary investment in this huge fleet totals close to $80 million, with shoreside support facilities for the fleet employing about 4,000 persons. We invite you to browse our site, become informed about all the pending legislative and regulatory issues by clicking on the SAC Updates button, and take an active role by supporting SAC.
